dress drama.

A good friend of mine referred to me an online clothing store where I could get a Prom Alternative dress, for she had gotten her previous two at the same website. I browsed around and found a dress that I immediately fell in love with. I asked my mom and she said we could order it, but you needed a credit card. Easy. Just ask the sister. The sister charged it and we gave her cash. The company called to ask questions. They were curious as to why the shipping address [me] was different than the billing address [sister]. We both explained and they put the order through. Nine days later... THE PACKAGE!!! Excitedly I run to the house, get out of my clothes as fast as I can, and put the dress on even faster. I unzipped it and tried to get in. It was a bit tight around the rear. I squeezed through and thought, It'll be the right size.. I tried zipping it up. No go. I asked my mom to zip it up. No go. Apparently there was a difference between the halves of the zipper by "at least an inch." I call the company, and they put one size bigger on hold for me that I will receive once my current dress is sent back. Just to be sure, I check my measurements online. They were exactly as the dress required. But, being the paranoid person that I am, I e-mailed them and asked what I should do. They changed the hold to a 9/10 [their sizes run small], because their formal dress sizes vary by only half an inch, so it should be perfect. But if it's not, I have two options..

1) Send it back AGAIN and get a different size or
2) Get it tailored

So what I'm really trying to say is...
Does anyone know how to tailor, if need be? Or know of a tailor that does good work for cheap?

Love you allllllll.
By the way, I have that situation worked out.
And it's for the better.
Plus I'm happier.

And Amber is my valentine.
[You can probably guess the result.]

=D

The same thing happened to me. Ok not really. My incident was with a pair of socks.
